Buccament Bay Resort is a proud supporter of Pack for a Purpose - a non-profit organisation that encourages travellers to make a meaningful contribution to the destinations they visit by taking various useful supplies within their luggage.

The resort’s local school, Buccament Bay Secondary School, serves around 200 students aged between 11 and 16 and they need our guests’ help to receive much needed supplies, books and clothing.

By simply reserving some space in your suitcase to bring some items helpfully listed (and regularly updated) on the Pack for a Purpose website, guests of Buccament Bay Resort can make a tremendous difference to the lives of St Vincent’s children.

The items Buccament Bay Secondary School needs are (accurate as of 16th December 2013):

School supplies:

Crayons, dry erase markers, glue sticks, markers, notebooks, and pens.

Reference materials:

Dictionaries and encyclopaedias in English.

Text/Reading Books:

Age appropriate story books, general science text books, and language/grammar text books in English.

Sports/outdoor activity:

Team uniforms/kits for soccer.

Clothing/shoes:

New or gently used children’s shoes.

We are very proud to say that a number of generous guests have already brought a range of items to the resort. Here are photos of the latest items our staff have received:
